Q. When are your rams shorn?
Our main shearing is in August each year. Our mature stud rams are regulation 19 shorn. Our young rams (2 tooth) have their first shearing at the beginning of September.
Q. When is your Ram Sale held?
Stanley Vale’s on-property sale is held on the first Friday in February each year. Rams are also offered for sale at the Armidale Housed Ram Sale and by private arrangement.
Our rams are available for inspection via appointment and on Day 1 of the New England Merino Field Days. Last field days we won Champion Unhoused Ram, with a 2 tooth Superfine ram who weighed 77 kgs with a 16 micron fleece.
Surplus ewes are offered for sale each year at the on-property sale, these ewes carry all data and are turned up and udders checked

The stud is also Footrot Free and Brucellosis Free accreditation.
